We would
like to extend a warm welcome to anyone interested in walking in Essex,
and sometimes further afield, to join our friendly group. There is
no charge, just bring your boots and sense of humour!

The Waltham Wanderers is a
free informal walking group with monthly walks of 5-6 miles and no
formalities. Just turn up prepared, with strong shoes or walking
boots and clothes according to the weather.
The group
was originally set-up by Claire Lyne and Peter and Maureen
Bradley. It is for people wishing for an enjoyable, not too
strenuous walk in the Essex countryside with stops for lunch (maybe a
pub) along the way. The walks are for people of any age with a
reasonable amount of fitness (able to walk up the stairs!).
